Meet Angela Johnson, a highly qualified board-certified Nurse Practitioner in family medicine. Angela obtained her bachelor’s degree from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, and her master’s degree in nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 2020, Angela completed her board certifications through the ANCC as a family medicine nurse practitioner. She joined Absolute Health in 2021, bringing 20 years of experience and a passion for preventing chronic diseases.
Angela’s patient-centered approach to healthcare focuses on taking the time to truly listen to her patients, hear their stories, and understand what matters most to them. She became a provider in functional medicine to make a difference in her patients’ lives by understanding the prevention, management, and root cause of complex chronic diseases. Angela believes that promoting a healthy lifestyle that focuses on energy, joy, gratitude, and balance, rather than defining it as an absence of disease, is the key to achieving optimal health.
With over 18 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Angela began her career as a nurse’s assistant and went on to complete her registered nurse program in 2008. For 13 years, she worked at Denver Health, where she gained extensive experience as a registered nurse in women’s health, a labor and delivery nurse, and eventually as a correctional nurse. Angela’s commitment to ongoing learning and professional development is evident in her attendance at conferences and workshops to stay up to date on the latest research and advancements in her field.
When not providing care to her patients, Angela enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. She finds joy in watching her husband compete in physical competitions, cheering on her children as they play competitive volleyball and lacrosse, and spending time by the water, either on the lake or ocean, fishing, boating, or riding jet skis with her family. With her dedication to excellence and passion for providing holistic care, Angela is an invaluable member of the Absolute Health team.
