Kaitlyn Hoppel is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a background in neurology. She attended Florida State University and received a bachelor’s in economics where she worked in finance before she decided to pursue her dream of working in healthcare. She received her bachelor’s degree from Rasmussen University and her master’s from the University of South Alabama. Kaitlyn worked at HCA Ocala, previously Ocala Regional Medical Center, as a registered nurse specializing in neurology. This is where she became passionate about preventative medicine and wanted to become a provider. She hopes to help patients make changes in their lives to prevent hospitalization. She chose the path of functional medicine after completing her clinical rotations at Absolute Health. Here she learned to take a patient-centered approach to chronic care and appreciate the body as a whole.
Kaitlyn is from Tallahassee, FL where she lived for 24 years. While attending FSU she met her husband, Quincy, after graduation, they moved to Ocala and started their family. They stay busy with their two young children, one boy, and one girl. When they are not chasing around babies, they enjoy spending their free time at the lake wakeboarding or at the river fishing. She plans to certify with The Institute for Functional Medicine to provide superior care for her patient population.
