Michael Stepen is a Health Coach, Nutrition Specialist, and Exercise Physiologist who specializes in weight loss. Mike attended Daytona State College in 2006, obtaining an Associate of Science degree, which enabled him to get into the Applied Kinesiology and Physiology program. Mike then attended the University of Florida, receiving his Exercise Physiology degree in 2008. That same year, he did his internship at Munroe Regional Hospital, now Advent Health, accepting a position as an Exercise Physiologist working in Cardiac Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy. Learning about the importance of nutrition, seeing the increase in obesity-related diseases first-hand, and realizing that exercise was not enough, Mike went on to obtain his degree as a Nutrition Specialist at the Academy of Sports and Diet Nutrition (AASDN). Mike was inspired to continue helping patients with their nutrition and joined with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) to create and facilitate the Lean for Life program.
