SAMANTHA HOPPEL, FNP-BC

Samantha Hoppel is a Family Nurse Practitioner (NFP) here at Absolute Health. She graduated with her master’s degree in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in 2020. She became a dual-certified FNP shortly thereafter, sitting for both certifying boards. Samantha started her nursing career with her associate degree in Nursing in 2012, climbing the education ladder as she worked, giving her nearly 10 years in the healthcare industry.

Samantha has mostly worked in the surgical field, working in the surgical unit for 2 years at the previously known Munroe Regional Medical Center, now Advent Health. From there, she went on to an outpatient surgeon’s office associated with MRMC, where she cared for many patients undergoing cancer treatments and surgeries.

Sam as she is known here at Absolute Health joined us in early 2021 after completing six months of training with us as a nurse practitioner student. She knew that this was the way that she wanted to treat patients; by solving the underlying problem instead of masking it with medications and feeling very at home with functional medicine. Sam is very compassionate when it comes to her patients. She specializes in all ages and loves seeing children. She is in the process of becoming IFM certified and plans to return to school for her Doctorate in Nursing very soon.

Sam and her husband, Jesse, and their two children, Everett and Emelia, have a thoroughbred horse farm together on the north side of town. She enjoys going to horse sales and shopping for horses with her husband when she is able. In the spring they enjoy working the sales together as a family. When not taking care of people and horses they are likely spending their time in Crystal River fishing, scalloping, and just enjoying fresh air out on the water. Sam enjoys long-distance running and has competed in the Boston Marathon as one of the many things on her bucket list.
